Remember Me Holocaust Project

Recently, the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC., initiated a project designed to find children (both Jewish and non-Jewish) who survived the Holocaust through photos taken of them after WWII. The Museum asks that should anyone recognize one of the many photos (see http://rememberme.ushmm.org) on its website to contact the Museum. Already a number of individuals have come forward to identify these children.  The Museum is eager to complete this project as Holocaust survivors numbers continue to dwindle.

There is also a brief youtube video that can  be viewed at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6YxB0reUtE

For more on WWII, including the Holocaust, see The World in Flames: A World War II Sourcebook, published by Oxford University Press in 2010.
